The audience felt overwhelmed by the experience and expressed their appreciation for the acting and direction after the performance. ABOUT THE PLAY
‘Dedh Inch Upar’ is about a middle-aged man recovering from the trauma of the Second World War during the 1960s. He sits alone in a bar and reminisces about his dead wife who was arrested by the Gestapo – German secret police – 15 years ago for conspiring against them.
As the story progresses, he indulges in excessive alcohol. He is unable to handle the pain caused by his loss. He loses his sanity as he is haunted by his wife’s betrayal and feels upset that he cannot get answers from her.
